CLEVEL was established in 2000 to help people understand and take action on global climate change.

We where the first company to offer the holistic Carbon Balanced approach and also coined the phrase Carbon Footprint, to help mainstream understanding of the links between our everyday actions and global warming. We work with a range of organisations helping them understand, reduce and compensate (offset) their CO2 as well as offering individual solutions for flights and other everyday actions.

As well as practical tools, we have also pioneered the concept of 'low carbon living' through the initiation of multi award winning 'earthship' ecobuilds in the UK. Our more recent project is underway with the global charity Practical Action. PA work with communities facing the full force of climate change. We are working with women's pottery cooperatives in western kenya to make and disseminate CO2 efficient cook stoves. The project also provides major smoke related health benefits as well as improving access to basic energy needs.
