As a minimum, your order will be delivered by 2nd class post within the U.K. and should reach you within 2-3 days of dispatch.

Any damaged goods or shortages should be notified within 24 hours of delivery, and should be returned within 7 working days for inspection.

Cebra sells a unique range of fair trade handbags, silk shawls, raku ceramics, genuine antique and exquisite faux designer jewellery from Africa, Asia and South America as well as beauty products, accessories and gifts from South Africa, Ghana and other African countries. New in our program is the Alaffia vegan skincare range and metal garden sculptures hand made from recycled metal by Fred Conlon.

We put great emphasis on fair trade, recycled and handmade items that are of the highest quality and use renewable and sustainable raw materials. All our products are fairly paid for (over and above the local wages), support local families and thereby their communities as well as traditional crafts and designs that would otherwise vanish within a few years. By buying these products you can help families not only to survive but give their children a better education and a future. And you can contribute to a better understanding of their environment and the importance of maintaining the flaura and fauna in their countries.

Our raku ceramics are handmade in a workshop near Cape Town and feature animals, fertility dolls, candleholders, plates and pots amongst others. Our online brochure contains more than 140 pieces all of which are highly individual.

All our jewellery is unique in that each piece is handmade. The necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings are heavily influenced by African traditions and designs.

Spotlight on our Madagascan handbags

Our supplier invests in several sustainable development efforts. Currently, they fund the education of the children of our weaver partners and work closely with the Akany Avoko orphanage to provide educational materials, operational funding and support for special projects. Further, they developed a partnership with a community of women in Kenya, supporting their micro-enterprise and funding community development projects. They continue to work closely with their artisan partners to generate sustainable economic development, provide a venue for artistic expression and to stimulate cross-cultural exchange.

Carbon neutral issues

Wherever possible we use surface mail (i.e. ships) for the import and export of our products in order to keep up our contribution to environmentally friendly transportation. We are constantly thriving to source packaging materials that are made from biodegradable materials and if you know of any organisations selling them, we would be keen to hear from you.
