Delivery informationIn the vast majority of cases, we post out your bulbs the same day as you order them. You should receive them 2-5 days after that. Occasionally we may be out of stock of a particular bulb, in which case it may be a few days more before we can send out your bulbs. Get your bulbs delivered to work When placing an order, feel free to enter your work address, or any other address, in the Delivery Address section. That way you don't need to worry about the bulbs being sent to the Sorting Office if you're not at home when they arrive. Breakages & faulty bulbs In the unlikely event that your bulbs are faulty or damaged in transit, simply return and we'll replace them quickly and free of charge. Note that this guarantee applies only to UK orders. Trader informationEssential info about our light bulbs Dimmer switches Our halogen bulbs are fine for dimmer switches, but our compact fluorescent bulbs (i.e. all the others) are not. When the lights are dimmed, compact fluorescent bulbs start to flicker. If you have dimmer switches but always use those lights at full power, then you shouldn't have any problems. Otherwise, watch this space, as we may stock dimmer-friendly compact fluorescent bulbs in the near future. Disposal Compact fluorescent bulbs contain mercury, which can be bad for human health and the environment if not recycled or disposed of properly. So when your low-energy bulbs eventually die, don't put them in the rubbish. Recycle them wherever possible. You may find collection points at your local recycling point or municipal dump. Heat Low-energy light bulbs reduce heat loss by up to 90%. This makes them safer to handle and less likely to cause discolouring of fittings, walls and ceilings. Your existing bulbs It's much better, environmentally speaking, to replace your non-eco bulbs now – not wait until they die. You may want to keep one or two for emergencies, but the rest are best disposed of. It may not seem very green to throw away something that's working, but they waste so much energy that it's much better to bin them than use them. Colour Low-energy lights are often available in more than one "colour" of white. The standard colour names are listed below. Most of the bulbs on this site are Warm White.
