The recycled paper in this leather covered and bound journal notebook is very easy to write on and very smooth. It is handmade paper made from unbleached recycled cotton left over from the massive garment industry in India.
The recycled paper that makes up the leather journal notebook is handmade in a small workshop by a charity that is committed to social responsibility through education, especially directed towards women in rural Indian villages.
It is one of the few cultures left that continue to produce handmade paper, keeping traditional handmade paper making skills alive in an increasingly industrialised India.
