Just plug the IntelliPannel into the wall socket, plug in your main device like PC or Hifi to the main socket, then the rest and accessories into the 7 peripheral sockets. The IntelliPannel automatically powers your home accessories & peripheral equipment when the main desktop computer or main hi-fi amplifier is switched on. Then switches them all off (at the wall) for you when you power down your computer or hifi.

A fantastic, but simple idea, something that if we all used would make a huge difference to our power consumption. Go on, do your bit! The Intellipanel is similar to the IntelliPlug, but provides up to 7 sockets instead of just 2.

Simply plug the desk top computer into the master socket and connect the peripherals (printer, monitor, speakers, scanner) using an extension if required.

When the computer is switched on, peripherals are switched on after a short delay. When the computer is switched off, the peripherals are switched off automatically, leaving only Intellipanel on standby, consuming just 0.1 watts of energy.

A PC monitor switched off overnight (instead of leaving it on standby) saves enough energy to microwave 6 dinners ? The average home emits more harmful carbon dioxide gas than the average car ? The average household could save around ?200 a year by taking energy efficiency measures.
Full range Auto Calibration - this unit will automatically determine the on and off power level of any desktop computer to automatically switch power to peripheral equipment only when the desktop computer is switched on and in use. A 5 second delay in powering peripherals on/off allows printers to park before power is shut down.
Zero-crossing detection - Automatically determines when the power supplied to the peripherals is at an optimum level for creating the least amount of stress to components. Switching at this point, the Intellipanel? ensures that less electrical noise is emitted in the form of interference to other electrical products such as the radio and television.
Quality Surge Protection - will dissipate surges of up to 532 joules of energy/a peak current of 31,500 amps and includes thermal fuse in case of a catastrophic spike.
Telephone/Modem/Broadband Surge Protection - High quality varistors give the best possible protection against surge.
Telephone/Modem Splitter-one input line split into two, one for a telephone and one for a modem.
Lowest standby power of 0.4 watts.
Saves an average 35 watts per hour depending on the number of connected peripherals. This product can pay for itself in less than a year of use.
